Thanks for stopping by my blog!
I’ve been struggling with this conflict: How to be frugal while still using healthy and safe products?
What I want is simple:
- Fresh and wholesome meals at a reasonable price.
- Personal care and household cleaning products that clean well and smell good, without leaving toxic chemicals behind.
But I have often been told that in order to buy healthy, useful things, I need to spend a lot of money.
This blog will explore what green and frugal living means in practice, and how to merge the two together. No one should have to choose between affordable OR healthy – we can have both!
Here, I will chronicle my journey into green and frugal living. Hopefully others can use my steps (and mis-steps!) to see changes they might want to make in their own lives, or to offer solutions of their own.
By skimming blogs and books, I’ve started to scratch the surface of how to meet each of these goals. My next step is to pull it all together here, and share it with you.
I want this blog to be a compendium of information for those who refuse to believe being healthy and environmentally friendly has to cost an arm and a leg.
I hope that if you are interested, you subscribe and stick around for the journey. I hope to learn just as much from you as you learn from me.
I hope to see you again!
Sneak Preview of the next post: Coupons
I used to think that coupons were useless at best, and embarrassing at worst. But from a number of fantastic blogs around the web, I’ve developed my own way of collecting and using coupons so that I actually save a good deal of money on things I actually use – and sometimes even get them for free!
My first ‘real’ post will be on coupon strategies I’ve learned in the past few months. I will have photos of what I’ve been able to get for free (or at a steeply discounted price), links to where you can get coupons for free, and how I make it work…
